Kids Yoga

My first mindfulness teachers were my children, my second was my camera, and my third were the residents at Sundance Memory Care. Over the last four years we have loved volunteering here and bringing classes of kiddos to connect with the residents through the Montessori learning techniques that have been proven to work brilliantly for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. When children and elderly come together there is a magic in the moment that I cannot put into words, but I feel it in my heart each time I witness it. Sundance Memory Care has graciously invited us to practice Kidding Around Yoga at their facility in Brushy Creek. To share the gift of mindfulness, meditation, prayer and yoga in an intergenerational approach is an incredible gift. Join us and experience the love that unfolds just by being present with one another and maybe even find some friends to come and visit as a family. The gift of our presence is the most important offering we can give.
